Astrophotography is one of the last hobbies I have

Astrophotography is one of the last hobbies I have that hasn’t been transformed into a job. I like nothing more than heading out to the beach during the new moon and hanging out under the Milky Way. This year I bought a vehicle able of driving on the beach, so I was able to get out to the really dark parts of Assateague Island in Maryland. I had the great pleasure of meeting Krzysztof Wodiczko in New York last week when he gave a talk about his show “A House Divided” at Galerie Lelong. I was a part of the team that created the 3D model of the Lincoln memorial for the show and it was breathtaking to see the final product. Krzysztof created a dialogue between the two Lincoln’s by projecting the faces, hands and feet of residents of Staten Island with opposing political views. #photogrammetry #newyorkcity #artwork #lincolnmemorial #galerielelong
